Interregional research on energy-efficient powder coating

In order to develop a new innovative energy-efficient coating, Electrolux Professional has through The Research Hub taken part in the cross-collaborative project FasTher together with our partners The Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture of The University of Udine and the Austrian coating company PLT Powdercoatings. This was made possible thanks to funds received by the European Union through the program Interreg Italy-Austria, which is one of the key instruments of the EU supporting cooperation across borders through project funding. Its aim is to jointly tackle common challenges and find shared solutions in fields such as sustainable energy and environment. And this new energy saving coating will be an essential consideration for achieving vital energy saving milestones.

Our main climate impact occurs as our products consume energy and we believe that we can make a difference throughout our value chain by developing these energy-efficient and low-consuming products. Product development and innovation is a key enabler for reducing the climate impact from product use and we therefor invest in our primary development in order to make sure to stay at the forefront of innovative research.

By doing this, we can help our customers around the globe to reduce the climate impact together. Find out more about our joint research projects here.
